I have been a fan of movies since I was 10 years old, watching each movie 6 months late at a discount movie theater with my father and brother every weekend. While the theater eventually shut down, I still tried to make time every Friday and Saturday to watch any new releases with my family. After getting into awards punditry, though, I was able to experience a plethora of new films I probably would have never even heard of otherwise. I also got to meet a lot of people through our shared interests. But becoming a critic, both of film and television, has been one of my most treasured experiences thus far. It allowed me to think deeper about the movies and shows I loved and analyze what exactly made them great. Today, I am a student, critic, and aspiring screenwriter, and I wouldn’t have it any other way.
